Why have you blanked out the name of the company?
Is this simply junk mail you want to actually claim from? If so they're all well known scams and I doubt you'll get anything from trying. It's impossible to give a specific answer without a detailed question."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

If you search on the competitions forum of MSE for 'clubseasons' or 'myoffers' you will find its a marketing ploy/ scam (sepending on your viewpoint). Everything is very cleverly worded, you'vfe only won membership for which you have to pay a yearly maintenance fee as well as your own costs of travel, food , entertainment etc etc.
Just throw it in the bin and chalk it up to experience. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

I recieved the registered letter yesterday for a prize value of £3750 from Clubseasons, after a search online, my suspicions was confirmed, thank you MSE0

Last week I got a call from My Offers people saying I had won a competition on My Offers which I had entered. Unfortuntley it was not the Caribbean holiday but I could still have one in Europe or the UK. I was given a ref number and a number to call. When I called the number I was given all the talk and then hit with "You will have to attend one of our presentations before you can have the prize, however there is no obligation to buy anything in order to get the holiday". The holiday was £50 pp for a UK one. Needles to say I told them No thanks.0

I do hope your letter to trading standards was a little clearer than the above!
If you win something, then it's FREE, and you'll never have to pay for anything up front. If you do, then it's blatantly a scam.
If you have paid £225 to this company, then chances are you won't be getting it back. I guess it's a lesson learned, and an opportunity to work on your common sense, and perhaps your English!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
