Orlando themepark tickets purchase here or there?

Sorry to post here when there's a Florida Orlando Thread above but had no joy there!

Where is the best and cheapest place to purchase 14 day Ultimate ticket for Disney? (we go mid Feb)

Is it also worth purchasing the 4day Flexi ticket for Universal, Seaworld, Wet n Wild?, etc...

Any tips for a two week holiday that includes 4 kids Age range 1 to 8) and grandparents (late 60's) greatly appreciated (I've tried searching through the Florida thread but so much stuff on there...)

Thanks for any responses in advance!

    Hi

Are you just planning on doing the Disney Parks ? If not don't waste your money on a 14 day ticket, I've only ever bought them once and found them to be a total waste of money.

Decide on how many days your actually going to spend in Disney, for example

1 day Animal Kingdom (not a big park, we've always done this in a day)
1 day Holllywood studios (was mgm)
Epcot we usually do this in two days, worldshowcase 1 day, Future world 1 day
I would allow two days for the Magic Kingdom, lots to do and its a really long day if you want to see the Fireworks

Try Undercovertourist.com for your tickets they do lots of different combinations so you can buy exactly what you need, therefore not wasting any money, they are really reliable I have bought from them many times and if you look on tripadvisor (orlando forums) they are highly recomended.

If your planning on doing seaworld (which is fab) buy direct from them (seaworld.com) they are by far the cheapest tickets.

For Universal tickets try lastminute.com they seem to be doing the best deal at the moment.

Have you thought about any character dinning? these are great for big and little kids alike, you need to book direct through disney. have a look on allears.net they have loads of info on all the different dinning avalible, chef Mickeys for breakfast is really good

Also don't forget about the Kennedy Space centre is only an hour away and is great, the older members of your group I'm sure would enjoy this.

But remember to have some rest days, disney is hard work as well as lots of fun!

Any questions feel free to ask

    Have a great time!:rotfl:

Sorry forgot to add, in my opinion Wet and wild is not worth the money, its very dated, try one of the disney water parks instead.

We bought ours from this website and it was much cheaper at the time!

    http://www.park-tickets.com/

I was a bit dubious about buying online but they were spot on! I'd recommend doing one park per day as above as its normally cheaper than a hopper ticket and we found doing every theme park back to back was a bit tiring especially in the heat!

(and a cheeky secret! when you are putting ur tickets in the machine there is a button in the back that may or may not give you a ticket without a time slot) ;) sssshhhh!

They use it to quickly print off tickets when there is a large queue and they want to usher you through. I discovered by accident and lent on it, there not all turned on though

Thanks for the above advice, I think I need to find time to work out how we're gonna fit it all in. We're only there for two weeks and will deffo need a few rest days for oldies and youngies (and me!!)

Does anyone know what the weather will be like mid Feb, will we get the use out of any water park tickets?, etc...

    Hi busy b,

I've just got back from Orlando, weather in Feb probably in the 70s, maybe a bit warmer at the end of the month.

Its a funny old place there. It can be 80 one day and nearly freezing the next night, so the key is to take a range of clothes that you can layer. We never decide whether to go to the water parks until we've seen the weather. You just can't tell! The Orlando Sentinel has a good online weather checker (5 day forecast) as does WESH2 the local news station (7 day forecast). Here's a couple of links to their weather pages:

Completely agree with supermom's timings for the parks. I'd have said the same for Disney. I'd also allow a day for Kennedy and a day for Universal. Whether you also allow a day for Islands of Adventure depends on the age of the party travelling with you (great for teens and young at heart adults, my parents would hate it). Last week they were offering very cheap passes for the two Universal Parks (Uni and IoA).

Hi,Just in case you are one of these people who are never quite warm enough, I would take some jumpers/cardies with you because I found the weather quite cold at the end of Feb and wasnt warm enough for me to go swimming.
