Hi!
My computer (1Ghz, 256Mb RAM, ~17Gb HD running Windows XP Pro) is unexpectedly switching off, showing VERY briefly a blue screen then restarting. After restart is completed it states a serious error occured and tries to report this to Microsoft. The only thing I think I caught from the blue screen was the word memory.
As you can tell this isn't the highest spec comp but does anyone have any suggestions? Is there any way I can get the blue screen to show for longer? How do I find out what it said? It has had things like the power supply replaced and the CPU fan too due to previous problems (2 yrs ago!) and unfortunately only 1 memory slot works hence the crap amt of RAM! My Dad normally gets roped into sorting things out but he is abroad at the mo.
Thanks in advance!

Change the startup and recovery settings so that it does not automatically restart in Control Panel, System, Advanced, Startup and Recovery, Settings then you will be able to see the error message. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
