Audio driver needed!

My mates accidentally deleted his audio driver from the add/remove program list and I don't know where I can get a replacement from! He has onboard audio and is running an Intel Celeron PC thats about 3-4 years old. Would anyone have any idea where I could get the driver from??

Not without details of the motherboard.

Download PC Wizard, and then you will be able to get the drivers from the manufacturers site.

  • Just rerun the add driver routine the driver is still on the pc Where do you think it went then. The routines will find it.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
Is it an emachines pc? If so put the model number into THIS page.
    Move along, nothing to see.
  • I have no idea why the turd response was "what motherboard have you got" - Simple question to ask was - is it a laptop or PC - if a laptop, what make and model.

If its windows XP - try this driver:
    Avance-RealtekAC97.zip

Select the 2nd option (Download this file by viewing a series of ads (no registration required))

It will show you 1 Advertisement and all you do is click NO and No thanks and the file will then contact the download location.

I just did it and it took me 15 seconds.

Try going to system and remove the sound devices.

Then reboot computer and see if it locates the drivers and reinstals the devices.
