Virgin credit card query

I received my credit agreement, rang them to check about whether there are any fees to transfer balance from my current account, and the man confirmed there are none.

I then asked if they would increase my credit limit before I do the transfer. He agreed to do so, but asked me send back the original credit agreement even though they are sending another out. Is this correct? (He said it would speed up the process).

Is it best to wait for the new credit agreement? Do I then need to phone back and request the balance transfer again?

I would sign the credit agreement that you have (as long as you have read and agree to the Ts & Cs). A credit agreement does not always have your credit limit on it anyway, so I am not sure whether you would need to sign another one.

The only reason that it might be worth hanging on, is if you are not in a hurry to have the BT done AND IF the 9 months 0% BT clock only starts ticking from the date they receive your signed credit agreement. That might get you an extra week or 2 at 0%.

The credit limit is on the bottom left of the Virgin credit agreement, close to where you sign.

I have to disagree with Clarimans advice though (that'll be a first!). I like to have all the i's dotted and t's crossed so, when I had my Virgin limit increased (doubled actually!), I waited for the new revised limit credit agreement before signing and returning.

The new form was with me within 3 days of the phone call so "lost 0% time" is negligible.

Yes, the credit limit is on the agreement, So I think I'll wait.

Does the 0% start from the date they send out the offer?

I have phoned them up about my card and been told its 2% and £35 max.
I have checked this a couple of times not believing the customer services advisor.

Do some virgin cards charge and some not? I have had my card for about 9 months- T&C only says they "may " charge.

Any definitive advice appreciated. Any good lines /reasons you can use to get any fees waived?
