This happened to me yesterday with all the codes being accepted on my account but then rejected after I'd attempted to checkout. This caused my credit card to become blocked after the 12th attempt because every time you checkout Tesco ringfence a small amount on your card (approx £2) and I'd racked up 12 of these payments which is the maximum amount of transactions Egg Money allow within a 24 hour period
People using Debit cards need to be aware of this as they will lose the use of this money for several days until it is released back to their accounts.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Didn't know that! I use a credit card to protect online payments - waiting for the clubcard plus application form to be sent & then I'll use that instead. I went to our local store this morning and tried to properly downshift - spent just £43 instead of my usual £70+ (including discount). Still want the points, so what to do?!!!
PS Value Basic mince pies - yum! Had forgotten that a friend dusts them in caster sugar to make them look a little more special, will be doing that instead of buying Tesco Finest mince pies this year!0 -
The party is definately over folks.
In my last set of mailings I think I got a total of 50 points coupons, with the majority being MOCs. I am fed up with receiving a 10p off a re-usable bag as well as a win 1000s of cc points - has anyone actually won any?
My shopping habits were very much driven by cc points coupons, and I'd often buy and try something new if the points coupon was worth it. However, the apparent change in policy by Tesco makes me less inclined to shop there - we have an excellent ASDA nearby and they will be receiving my custom more often.
I appreciate that the cc points probably got a bit crazy, but Tesco seems to have gone from one extreme to another. Tesco should consider that many serial points collectors (like myself) not only shop at Tesco, but also have their insurance with them (car, house and pet), have a tesco credit card, and supplied electricity by EON and have Tesco phone.

Furthermore, I am now less inclined to put extras in my trolley just to achieve a qualifying amount.Mortgage Free Wannabe

Grrrr No Spirit of Christmas...as postscript to my Tesco shopping trip earlier I bought 4 Lindt father Christmases for stocking fillers and have just realised I left them at the check-out...rang the store but they were not handed in, so someone has had some free stocking fillers on me. I burn with fury and frustration when something like that happens! Sorry it's off topic....as it's not really Tesco's problem!0

I want to send some deals tokens back asap for refund (they expire in a couple of days. Does anyone have the address? I can't seem to find it on their website.
