i am really annoyed with Tesco Wine!! It was my first experience with them this week

I tried in vain all of last week to place an order, on the one time i got through, my wine was out of stock, every other time I got the Tesco "we can not complete your order at this time" screen. Funnily enough yesterday and today it is fine...co-incidence that the free delivery is now over?

Rang twice over the weekend to be cut off both times poor customer service!

Anyway I rang customer service again today and the smarmy young man insisted they wouldn't honour the free delivery code. I know its only a fiver but its god dam annoying!

Do you ever get anywhere by complaining in writing?

edit: a bloody farce!! the wine is out of stock again! argh!

My wife went in yesterday and they said they had changed it to 3 in our store (but they took 4!!!). She said the manager was hanging around and told her that it's because people were coming in with handfuls of coupons, he quoted one where a woman had paid for her shop with £72 worth. It looks like the greedy few have spoilt it for the many. The most I've had is £10 and that was only because of the £6 Airwick (sadly gone). Saying that though the SA asked my wife where she got the coupons from and wrote down the web address with glee.

I went in last night and they've updated it again, I checked with the lady on the self service aisles. The rule is now 3 Internet coupons and as many as you like of the rest, managed to get £10.25 off at a normal SA aisle. IT PAYS TO ASK!:money:
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D
  • Hi there!

Am a bit new to this, but have been attempting to use the codes for a while now!

If I get clubcard money off vouchers sent in the post, do i just not use them for them to remain valid for use on other things like days out and the like?

Also i get lots of points vouchers but they seem to be for use instore as opposed to online, can you change this?

    Thanks!

    Hi Mumma.

Yes, just hold onto the Clubcard vouchers you get in the post until you're ready to trade them in for whatever Deal you want. They have a long expiry date on them - two years I think.

As for the points vouchers you get, go into 'My Account' on Tesco.com, then click on 'Your Clubcard details'. Then click where it says you can make changes to your Clubcard account and under 'Clubcard Coupons' there is an option to change to coupons that can be used online rather than in-store.

i have noticed recently a couple of errors Tesco has made with its prices online.
For the last couple of weeks Newcastle brown ale has been £1.00 a bottle!
(I did post this a while ago) However this week it is "on offer" for 2 for £3" but if you buy one bottle it is £1.48!?

I have also notice this week that muller corners are 5 for £1.00 (20p each)
or if you buy a six pack they are "on offer " for 2 for £5.00 (42p each)

my kids love so i got 15 for £3.00:j

Any one else spotted any pricing errors

Hi all! I'm new here but just thought I'd ask if anyone else has had problems recently using voucher codes on line for grocery shopping?
I've used these codes for quite a while now, but yesterday I used a code and was unable to confirm the order at the checkout. Instructions were to phone the Tesco helpline which I did.
I was told that the voucher code I'd used......even though it was accepted at the beginning of checkout.....had not been issued to me personally by Tesco I therefore had no right to use it! I explained that I had used these codes before with no problems and I was then asked where I got the code. I told them one of the many internet sites that publish these codes.....but named no names!
I was told that these sites have no right to publish these codes and I should not try and use them again! It was implied that Tesco have new software to check if these codes have been issued to that particular shopper....and if not it is impossible to "confirm" the order at check out.
    Anyone else experienced this?

been trying to find the answer to this for a while. if im shopping at tesco.com and i want to use coupons as cash for products i didnt buy what are the rules about how many is allowed. are there particular rules for ordering from tesco.com or does it depend on the policies of the store where it came from?

    thanks

my tesco accepted coupons yesterday. I think some stores make their own rules up as they go along. The head office take is as many coupons as you like provided they are in date, each one is different and tesco are able to redeem them

if mine said 5 per transaction I would simply do several different shops! A few walks to the car is nowt if it can save you dosh!
I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...
