Does anyone know how Tesco decide who to send codes to?

I shop with them weekly and usually use codes from this site but today despite the code being accepted at checkout it was rejected by Tesco when the order was delivered so I didn't get the £12 discount I was expecting. :( Is there a way I can get on the Tesco 'e-mailing list' so they send me my own codes? I think I'm going to be wary of using codes which I didn't received directly myself now after this experience.

same thing happened to me today! first time ever. i rang and complained and they asked if i still had the leaflet showing the code so i could prove it was meant for me because according to them i hadn't been allocated any. i said i had thrown it away and they credited me with the £12 :T but informed me that this would be the last time - if it happened in future i must keep the leaflet and show it to the driver. Don't think there will be a next time:(

My £12 of voucher code was accepted on line but when the order was delivered it said on the back page that it had not been credited to me. It said that this may be for a number of reasons - ie out of date code, used previously, technical problem or because I may not have spent enough.

I did a £121 shop. So I phoned them up and said I only did my shop with them because of the £12 savings. I was asked where I had got the voucher from and said from a website, no details given.

The reply was 'ok I will credit your card with the £12'.

N.B. Dont think that you will automatically get the money off even if it goes through ok on your online shop...Always check the back page of your Tesco delivery order as soon as its delivered to make sure you get your savings. And if you dont get the saving then complain until you do.

I should think it's useable on 5th July.

I haven't done online shopping before (what have I been missing!) and T's have sent me 1000 pts off wine. I also have a £10 for first online shop. Can I use them together and how do I do it?

    Thanks for any help. Maisie

I have just received my delivery, and it stated on the reciept form that my voucher was rejected, even though it was orignally accepted.

I tried to argue my case, but they where having none of it.

I have been told they will not be refunding the amount as I shouldnt be using the codes from websites and they are now not refunding and banning codes once they are seen to be used a couple of times.

    I wont be bothering again

To use the Tesco voucher codes - do your shop & go to checkout, then before confirming your order look for the section on the checkout page for vouchers, input your codes. If it is accepted, it shows on your final price as a deduction. If it has not been accepted then it comes up in red at the top of the screen telling you why.

In my experience with shopping on line through Tesco (I use mysupermarket.com to do this and my shopping prices are compared to other shops like Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys. If Tesco is the best value (it is for me) then I click to send it to Tescos) but I have found that they will only accept one voucher code per shop, so I can never get all - the money off /extra club card points/free delivery on one shop. So I always put in the money off code first, to make sure I dont lose out on the best offer. Then I cross my fingers ant try all the other codes. If the money off code is rejected do try another code you may be lucky next time.

If the voucher code is accepted online then always double check your delivery sheet when it arrives with the shopping to make sure you have been credited with your money off, clubcard points or free delivery.

If the voucher which was accepted on line was refused when delivered phone Tesco up, the number is on the delivery sheet, and complain. As you were awarded it on line and only shopped at Tesco because of the saving. Its very unfair to tell you you have saved money on line then have it refused after you have shopped there. Say you will go to Asda in future unless you get the refund.

    Happy shopping.

I had a delivery this morning and my voucher got refused even though it went through when I ordered and I recieved it through my email conformation.

    It was for

    £9 off £60 valid from 14/07/08 until 20/07/08 XXPFT4

I spent £98 so it can't be that I didn't spend enough, it just says on my reciept

'we are sorry we couldnt use the following coupons' and a list of common reasons why

What should I do will they want to know where I got the code from as I don't know where it was from apart from here?
    Thanx
