You do a quick shop say beer etc till above minimum spend then go past set delivery to checkout. Enter code and if accepted then empty basket to nil and code stays banked on your account and just log off.:D

Thanks for the tip....and I love the way beer springs to mind ;)

I am so sick of Tesco online!

I rarely place an online grocery order but the past two i have got codes off here and had them refused only finding out when i received the order:mad:

This time i received a £10 off voucher through the post addressed to me so thought that would be fine but No, placed order last night, code went through and in the early hours of this morning they send a damn email telling me its been refused and of course this morning i was to late to cancel the damn thing

So i have emailed them and told them i will use ASDA from now on, at least the free delivery codes always go through there!!

I would call customer service and tell them what happened. Even if they can explain why the code wasn't accepted, I would argue that I was only informed that the could wouldn't be accepted *after* it was too late to cancel my order, and as such they should honor the code. If they still say no, I'd tell them it's fraud to change the price after it's too late to change the order and keep at them, ask for a supervisor, or whatever. I think you have a valid case to plead.

I built up my shopping list and checked out, then clicked on 'Use coupons or vouchers'. I entered the XX2DD9 code I had been sent and the 1000 free points were added to my summary.

I then entered 8Y4K8KNLXRRC for £5 off and was notified that the two codes can't be used together (which is fair enough, I didn't expect it to I was just experimenting as it's my first online tesco order).

Along the top of the page I have the following message:
    • We are sorry, but the following eCoupons are not valid in the same order: 1000 Extra Clubcard Points; £5 off your groceries
    • We have therefore only used one of these eCoupons in your order. If this is not the eCoupon that you wish to use, then you can make changes to your eCoupons here. If you are happy with the eCoupon that we have used, then please click on the 'continue to checkout' button.
The eCoupon tesco have selected for me is £5 off, obviously I'd prefer the 1000 points, so figure I just click 'remove' next to the £5 off row in my summary to switch, but nothing happens!

I have been able to remove other codes I have tried no problem, but for some reason cannot remove the £5 discount. Any ideas?!

Yes you can , instore only and within the dates shown on the coupon . Not on home deliverys though.
Never pay more than you have too
  • Till spits are issued fortnightly, starting on a Monday. The last ones were out two weeks ago; tomorrow (24 March) should be the next Till Spit Monday! If you dont shop on the Monday, it doesnt matter, you will get a spit next time you go in during that two week period.

If you never get any spits, try updating your preferences in My account on the clubcard pages on Tesco website.

    What exactly are spits?

I have looked at my clubcard account and can't see where to update my preferences - where is it please?

    Thanks

Hi all, finally got my food mailings and used some of the coupons instore. I noticed on the receipt that coupons that had been issued for one of my other clubcards showed points in brackets and were not included in the points total for the shop. Does anyone know if these will get added to the correct account or have I 'lost' them? This has not happened before to my knowledge. Thanks!
