Same old same old with this flaming store. I put codes in, they are accepted and when I go to final page to put security code in this comes up 'sorry there was a problem when trying to confirm your order due to one or more eVouchers being invalid. Please try again and if the problem persists please try customer support' Don't understand how they can one minute be accepted and then the next they change their tune????
    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

well quite a few people on here seem to be ok too - but this has been happening to me for around 9 weeks now. Is it happening to anyone else, would be interested to know
  • I have the following code which I will not use. It is for a first grocery shop and spend £50 or more. It can only be used once and is valid until 15.03.09.

I tried and got the usual "Been used the maximum amount of times"

I got that or a similar message for every single code I've tried for the last two months. However, I keep getting emails from Ocado, Waitrose and Asda offering me codes. I am doing very little shopping with Tesco these days - except for the things I can't do without - mainly Value Fruit and Fibre - and my husband is happy to pop down to Tesco to get that.

Reading the recent, much deserved grumblings about Tesco, I have noticed that asda state on their site that if items are substituted, they are the only store that will not charge the customer more than their originally ordered items! Tesco ought to sit up and take note of their example!

They are not the only store to do that - Waitrose have the same policy as I found out today - if the substitute is more expensive than the original item that you ordered, they charge you the price of the original item. So today I ordered 2X 1 litre cartons of milk - they didn't have any 1 litres so gave me one 2 litre carton instead but only charged me the 1 litre price. So I got exactly the same amount of milk as I ordered but only got charged half price for it! Wish I had ticked the 'substitute' box on more items in case they had run out of those too! :D

Also if you don't use Waitrosedeliver for a while they send you 'welcome back codes' for £10 or £15 off your next order (£50 minimum order). They have just reduced Mon Tues Wed deliveries to £3 from £5 so a bit extra saved there too.

I usually order mostly things which are on special offer so with the codes I have saved a fair bit. I get most of my fruit and veg from a weekly box scheme though and fish from the fishmonger, meat from the butcher as Waitrose is too £££ for those items, so it's mainly tinned goods, bog roll, wine etc I get from them - they must think I have an odd diet. :D

  • Did anyone get money off coupons with their last clubcard statement? I was sent a £10 off coupon which I used online. Last week I did the shopping instore and as still had the coupon, handed it over and it was accepted. A lot of you probably already knew you could do this bit it came as a surprise to me!
  • We have a Tesco Clubcard credit card that isn't 'merged' with our main Clubcard so we get two seperate lots of Clubcard vouchers through the post.

This time round on the credit card account we received one £13 off a £90 spend voucher, two £9 off a £90 spend vouchers, one very useless 'Win 1000 points' thingy, one 25 extra points voucher and a 10p off re-useable bags one. A pretty good haul for that one.

And for the main clubcard account? Six 25p off milk, bread, jam or whatever vouchers. Whoopdee-doo, thanks for that then that'll really help out. Cuh.
