I took this out to get extra Nectar points wherever possible of course. I went to get petrol at my local BP (part of Nectar remember) last night, went to pay with it and was told "we don't take American Express" which the Nectar credit card is. Anyone else had this problem ? Grrr !

Yes - Amex is the least useful of the credit cards.
I'm always surprised now IF a retailer accepts it. Something to do with the high charges that it imposes on them I'm told. You shouldn't use it to find your paypal account either...0
