Dance / Drama Classes in East Belfast ?

Hi,

I am looking for a dance or drama class for my 6 year old daughter, but can't seem to track any down. I think she needs an outlet for her dramatic emotions. Somewhere within driving distance of the Knock area. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks, Willy

PS She is not interested in ballet.

The most obvious place that springs to mind is the Crescent Arts Center in south Belfast. They are closing for renovations but are expecting to rent premises close by and continue their classes.

If you are looking for something closer to home we used to get a leaflet from Wandsworth Community Center (it's just off the Belmont Church Road) which did a range of stuff for kids. I've not seen anything from them in a while but it might be worth looking them up.

I thing the Helen O'Grady academy has drama classes in Belmont. If you willing to go further, the Lyric Youth Theatre is very good.

pauline walker school of dance in newtownards is fantastic. my daughter goes to modern jazz and tap classes they also have lots of other types.

There's also a place in Owen O'Cork Mill on the Beersbridge Road, Samsara I think. It's half owned by Samantha Mumba supposedly, though that may actually put you off..........

hi, wandsworth community centre (26a Belmont Church Road) has 2 slots of Helen O'Grady Drama Academy - Mondays 4 - 5pm and Saturdays 4 - 5pm. Their phone no. is 91464337 and Lisa Semple is the head person to speak to re spaces at these.
