 I have been waiting and asking the bank since July 2007 about £100 that had been took from my bank account by ipod London. I filled and sent all the bank forms they asked me to fill straight away but when I enquire about it they fob me off, my overdraft has been in the red since this happened any ideas of what to say to the bank to hurry up this process of trying to get my money back?

Which bank? If it's Natwest/RBS Group, I've had a similar case open for 3 years with no luck.£8k to pay off before Jan 2011! Was 28k to pay off by Jan 2010 though so I'm happy0

Hi it's halifax.0

Did you phone them?
Had the same problem was £1000 though for ipod london or something stupid. As soon as i found out the money was taken out i phoned halifax and they gave me telephone interview and then reference number, phoned them up a week later and they said another two weeks and it would be in my account, sure enough it was in two weeks later. Weird they are stalling over £100 and they paid £1000 back to me abit easily.0 -
Is the claim fraud, or a disputed transaction ? They will be treated differently by the Halifax. If it's for only £100 and definietly is fraud (rather than a disagreement with a transaction which you actually carried out), go into your local Halifax branch, they will be able to fill out a fraud claim form and reimburse you there and then for the full amount. You will be told that if the claim is subsequently found to be false, the Halifax will contact the police and reclaim the £100 from you.
I think you are being fobbed off by call centre staff who are not aware of the correct proceedures.
I hope this helps.0 -
