Well, I have just been utterly pi***d off by sky. Before the new year I took them up on their free installation, and ordered multi room in 2 rooms. They arranged a date for fitting and I paid for the two boxes. I stayed in all day ( minus 1 days holiday) and waited, only to find after 7 calls the engineer was running late and would not make it ( this was now 8:30). So another date was arranged ( minus 2 days hol ) and the chap arrived 4 hours late, took a look at the two rooms and instantly said he would not be able to fit the cable to my room. He fitted the cable in the other room, told me I would have to get another contractor to fit a cable and then order another box as he was not allowed to leave the one he brought.
So I got a company in to fit a sky cable to my room ( which took 15mins ) and then tried to order a new box. All was well until he mentioned a £60 fitting fee ( to plug box in ) I mentioned the previous saga, and was told that that offer was finished and I would still need to pay the fee ( only £30 to new customers) So in the end after much fustration I was advised to buy a box from a third party and fit it myself  When i threatened to cancel my account he merely pointed out that they offer the best package for tv, so I would be the one loosing out. Advise please:rolleyes: i.e where to get a box for reasonable price. sorry if this is in wrong section.

You should be able to get one via eBay or your local paper for £20 - £30.0
