    In a word, NO.
It hasn't got an operating system installed (nominal £100) you need more memory (£50), hard disk is far too small (£50) That's just for starters. Forget it and keep looking............

Those specs are probably older than your children ;)

Is there any OS included? Win98 should run OK on it, but probably not very fast. a 6GB HDD won't leave much space to install apps.
You may also want to look at the system requirements for the applications they are going to use. (Web browser, flash plugin etc.. )

ahhh thanks for both replies, my children are only 5 and three but they like to play on that site, so its nothing to major at the moment, neither do i want to pay a few hundred for one just yet.

    i'll keep searching.

IMO you would be much better off getting an old desktop PC off Freecycle for kids of that age. That way they can spill drinks over the keyboard and it only costs you a fiver for a new keyboard...
  • Lol I remember my first computer back in '96 had specs something along those lines...buying something like that now though would be a complete waste of money, you won't be able to run any decent programs on it and tracking down old programs it can run will be time-consuming and probably quite expensive too.
  • PS I'd also steer clear of any rip-off merchant that tried to sell you that laptop for 90quid!

ive seen laptops 4 times that power in all aspects thrown out, werent dell doing new laptops for 200 notes a little bit back and thats new with 100 times the prefomance (almost literally), any 10 year old laptop will be trully wrecked by now.

I agree with Fwor, children of that age are going to spill their drinks on the machine, drop it, try to bend the screen.......Buy a cheap desktop.

That laptop's going to be way too heavy for kids of that age as well, so a desktop is the way to go imo, since they'll have to use it on a desk anyway.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it
