Orange livebox wireless connection?

Hi,

I'm trying to setup the wireless connection from the livebox to a laptop in the house, i already have a wired connection to the destop downstairs. I can pickup the livebox after i put in the code and try to connect to it but it connects then disconnects again constantly. I have tried with another laptop but that one says it is searching for the network when i click connect and never does anything afterwards.

Any help would be appreciated.

It'll probably depend on what version of the Livebox you have, but I remember that in an earlier version you had to press a button on the box for it to be able to register and accept new wireless connections.
Basically your Livebox refuses all wireless connections by default. When you press the button it goes into a mode where it will accept all wireless connections for 10-15 min, and record what devices connected to they can connect again in the future.

If that's still how it works, there should be details in the manual of what button to press as my memory doesn't stretch that far!

Same problem here. Orange are carp, why did I switch, oh why?
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
