Yahoo error 999!!!

This is really annoying, all today periodically I go to send an email and get error 999!
I googled, though I am not a techi and there was a mention of bandwidths and visiting Yahoo groups.
Today I posted something on a Freecycle Group and it was replies to those emails from my post that would not send and gave the message.
Could I have caused something? Many thanks
