Broken: one of those infuriating 'touch' lamps.

Options
Don't ask me why but in I have 2 bedside lamps that are touch sensitive, with 3 progressive light levels (touch once to move to next level) before turning off.

I was turning one on the other day and it flashed and stopped working. Turns out the fuse blew. However, upon replacing the fuse with one of the same ampage the light now only has 2 variations - on or off, which can only be controlled by the switch at the wall socket.

Is there an easy fix to get it working properly again?

Thanks for looking.

  • Don't think so. Probably best to replace.

I had one of these with the same problem. After having the shop replace it for the third time I gave up and just use the switch.
  • Ours did that too - very annoying and not something you are warned about ever

No-one in their right mind should buy them. Nothing but an irritating gimmick.

At this point I should mention it was my girlfriend who got them.

    Thanks all.
