In the last week, I put a laptop into my post office for despatch using Parcelforce48. No delivery and after checking the website, no tracking information AT ALL with Parcelforce. They claim they were never advised of a pick-up. I suspect the PO counter staff could see it was a laptop and just stole it.
Secondly, CD player with Parcelforce48. OK, that arrived but broken despite being very well packed - they must have dropped it from a great hight.
Lodged claims and complaints with Parcelforce and Post Office. Have you every tried ringing these people! Call centre from hell asking you to press 1 for this, 2 for that. Then they can't find any reports input via their own web-site ("That's the online team." !!!!!!!!), no call back as asked for just stupid automatically generated e-mails asking for the same information.
Called Parcelforce to check my claim. "We're clearing the Xmas backlog of claims". How do I find out my claim number. "Expect a letter in 6 weeks". !!!!!!, it's the worst example of service I've experienced in years.
Never, ever use Parcelforce/Post Office - strapping your parcel onto the back of a tortoise would be preferable.

You should have had a tracking number with the laptop and your receipt was the proof.Put a claim in for it.
If you suspect the post office staff stole it, contact the police and ask them to investigate.0 -
If I am sending anything like a lap top I use a courier, a bit more expensive but I have found its safer. hey pick up from your dood and give you a receipt with a tracking number on. I used DHL 48 hr delivery last week, parcel deliver at lunchtime the day after it was collected and cost just over £8.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
