URGENT HELP! Cheap calling from US to UK.

Dear all,

Please can anyone help me as i leave for LA on Thursday.
I am looking to call home from landlines in the US to landlines in the UK.

Does anyone know of any numbers that i can place infront of the 0044 etc to get it at local rate????

If not, then could anyone recommend any good phonecards.
sorry for leaving it so late, please help if you can!!!

One possibility would be to use a PC to log into a cheap UK-based VOIP provider.

Otherwise I'm not sure.

the problem is - i dont know if i will have access to the internet all the time when i am out there.

Swiftnet on 0845 108 0191 have an international travel servicxe which allows you to make calls from many countries to anywhee & is 'post-paid' ... u receive an itemised bill to yr address in UK..

eg from usa back to uk from a landline or us registered mobile [depending on time ] costs between 6.2p - 7.5p
