Was at Deans in Huntly the other day. My goodness what a fine whiff of shortbread you get there.
I bought some of their seconds. The choc chip and coconut are just too die for."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0 -
Gee, could be any of them! lol0

Hello there,
Yip another Dundonian, so that makes 4, not from the posh areas you others are from. I'm in Kirkton now (17 years) but originally from Whitfield (16 years) and even the Hulltoon for a bit, so nowt much scares me . Ok when it's really windy I'm petrified but that doesn't count does it?
So hello to fellow Dundonians - everyone else too :hello::coffee::hello:0 -
:j Hi im from the Mearns"If at first you don't succeed, then don't try parachuting........."0

Just a quick question to all you locals. I am thinking of moving up to Aberdeenshire, in order to be near my in laws. Having 3 boys under the age of 5, my worry is, when they go to school will they have a problem being the children of English parents? Bullying or the like? I lived in Ireland, and found it difficult but is it the same in Scotland? No offense intended, but this is a huge move for us and I'd like to get some locals opinions. Sorry for hijacking your board and going off on a non-mse topic, but any comments/advice would be greatly received.

I am originally from Glasgow, and we moved up here several years ago. I myself encountered racist abuse a few years ago,but that is not to say you will encounter the same abuse. As regards to your children they should not suffer any adverse problems as there are a large amount of Eastern European citizens in the region.I hope this helps, and if you want any more help either p.m me or post another post on the forum. All the best in your move:hello:Like good food and drink?
Try Hotel Chocolat and Baileys.

I'm near Elgin, but am in Aberdeen every couple of weeks to see mates.
I LOVE the JJB outlet near Kittybrewster - not the Sportsworld, but the JJB, round near Sainsburys. Everything is dirt cheap, AND there's another 50% off at the till! Crap service, but I got Adidas trainers for £10.50 last week....!!!!
went there on tuesday, pair of reebok trainers, six reebok/nike tops and reebok bottoms.....£19! bonus!0
