Sentinel Card Protection

I have a query about Sentinel Card Protection. Sentinel have 'upgraded' all their current account holders to 'Sentinel Gold'. This policy offers a host of new covers, but at a massive £10 extra per year (From £20 to £30). At first glance, the extra cover looks fairly impressive until you realise that most of the cover is usually covered under traditional travel insurance or home contents insurance.

I find it pretty unethical of them to opt their customers into this new scheme. I called my new credit card company (Lloyds TSB) & they were still offering the old service for £20 per year.

I suspect that Sentinel are hiking their fees under the presumption that most people do not read their correspondence and don't check their direct debits in detail.

Are there any other companies that offer a basic card cancellation service for less?

Haha, of course they've increased the fee. why? cos it's a total rip-off and pure profit for them. Don't get any of them and save your cash,
