Avenue Q
whowho
Oooooh I need help!! I've said I'll go to see Avenue Q on a saturday night and in the hopes of finding something I can almost afford I've said I'll do the booking. Now I'm stuck.... does ANYONE know of any west end deals on a Saturday?
I'm thinking pitching up early and going to the TKTS booth may be my only option?

If you're travelling by train, you can get the 2 for 1 offer on Avenue Q tickets, although I'm not sure if it's available on a Sat. Might be worth a look tho. If you go on the national rail website there's a link to theatre 2for 1 offers.0

That's the offer I was banking on and it's only available on Monday-Thursday. Last minute don't have anything and I love theatre have nothing either.
I think it may well be a fruitless search! Thanks though Silver Ginger!0 -
TKTs have a website so you can see whats available from the booth for that day. http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/tkts/today
I have just a look on it for you and they don't have any availble for today so I would say that there is a slim chance of being able to get them for a Sat. Try looking on Theatremonkey.com and see if they have any offers listed that run all week. Although it's highly doubtfull. Sorry i'm not much help. Can't you try changing the persons mind to a week day?0 -
probably a bit late for you, but for the interest of others, I'm quite sure Ave Q do the day seats deal, front row seats at 10am; i think they're around £19!0

KT21, thank you! I hadn't even thought about checking the site on a saturday (doh!) looks like I'm going to have to scout about, but I'd rather do that than turn up on the day and let the others down!0

I went to see Avenue Q a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it.
We got our tickets through ticketmaster on a 2-4-1 deal. If you go to the ticketmaster site and look up Avenue Q, choose your date and you'll notice a promotion box. Select as many seats as you want and put in the code OYSTER. This offer is for Oyster card holders but at no point did they ask to see mine.0 -
You can also try the "Ticket Exchange" section on www.whatsonstage.com I think it's under "Discussion" as part of the forum.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0

Thanks everyone!! All great suggestions and very much appreciated.0

I seem to remember when we went that if you booked seats in the first couple of rows of the stalls they were only around £20 - half price I think. I didn't book them, and it was a while ago, but might be worth calling the booking office direct and asking them?!0
