Holiday/ flight Search/ Easy Jet Pricing

Hi Everybody
Booked flights for my holiday just under 2 weeks ago, and got good value flights with Easy Jet, or so I thought.
The price I paid was about £30 cheaper per seat, than anyone else and was booked direct on their website,
However I have gone back to their website several times in the past week and have found that the price for the same flights etc are fluctuating in a downward fashion.
If I had booked today i would have saved £82.00, yup same flights etc.
I looked at the terms and conditions of booking to see if I could claim the £82 back.
Unfortunately i cannot, BUT, I can get a credit for £82 for further travel on Easy jet, AND another BUT!, it has to be used 6months from when the claim is made. Unfortunately I dont intend to travel again until next year, so the £82 would be lost.
Another salient point is that you have to make the claim via the phone on an 0871 number, ho-hum, so they can claw back a little more out of you.

On the whole I am happy with the deal I have as other air lines and on. line agencies are putting their prices up and are considerably dearer.
I trys, but sometimes I fails':A  :o

  • This is one of those 'sh*t happens' situations, I'm afraid. Sometimes the price goes up after you've booked, sometimes it goes down. The best thing to do is not look again! As you are still happy with your deal, just enjoy your trip and don't worry about it.

If you're happy with your deal then its all good, just don't look again! It happens to most of us at one time or another.

And to steal a line from another user on the board:
If the price had gone up would you offer to pay the difference?
