i like geocaching. its a treasure hunt idea available in lots of countries. ideally you need some sort of sat-nav or to be good at map reading. you track down the box which is hidden from sight. inside are lots of goodies you can trade for.
its great for a day out - and some people organise days where you go hunting while clearing litter in the area - theres always lots of kids go and its a great day out.
i personally like going off into the scottish hills on my own hunting caches - you can find out more here : www.geocaching.com - it can be as expensive or as cheap as you make it !!!!

I love these ideas. I'm also bored, lost my job last yr and it's been impossible to find one since (although had 2 different 2nd interviews this week so here's hoping). Before xmas I found 3 blank keyrings that a mate gave me ages ago so I made pictures to go in them. I enjoyed the creativity of making the pics and snapping it all together so I bought 50 blank keyrings and made loads of different designs. I ended up selling a load on ebay. So I cured my boredam, I spent a small amount of money out on the blanks (£13 for all the blanks) and then made some money too! I really enjoy it. I still have some now for sale but since xmas not many people are interested. But I still make new designs anyway. Something to pass the time and stop me falling asleep during the day which stops me sleeping at night! I make ice-cream too for my own enjoyment :-) but again, need to spend out to do it :-(0

How about one/several of the following:
- investigate how you start a charity shop and start one
- create a website about your local area and go out every day with your camera to find something to write about. Or, if you like exhibitions, then create a website reviewing them!0
