I recently wrote to TV Licensing complaining about:-
a. All the threatening letters they have been sending me
b. My inability to transfer a TV Licence from one premises to another, on line - because their web site was telling me that I was entering the incorrect details. I was entering the details EXACTLY as printed on the licence !!
I asked them to transfer the licence.
Any way... today I got a reply !
My complaint about the letters was basically ignored - their attitude appears to be if you don't have a licence (whether you actually need one or not) you are a criminal and deserve to be hounded.
All the letters I have received made a great play about TVL's "records", being the basis for their threatening letters.
The letter I received today was addressed to Mr Webster - NOT my surname and the first letter of the town was missing.
So if I had been Mr Norris of Bristol, according to TVL, I am now Mr Webster of Ristol !
What a totally inept, incompetent, useless, load of buffoons !
Good job I didn't live in S!!!!horpe !!
PS: When I went to "preview post" the site had already censored the latter mentioned town - brilliant !!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, Scunthorpe gets censored, even gets changed in message preview and the text entry box there after you preview. That's usually one of the mistakes that obscenity checkers in the UK are tuned to avoid.0
