For some reason, my PC must be considered too old to run Msn Messenger
Windows ME, 862mhz processor, 18.6GB hard drive.
I download it and it freezes my screen or asks me to upgrade, and my PC won't let me have 7.0 or later.
Is their an MSN i can download for ME that won't ask me to upgrade, and if it does, how can I refuse the upgrade without it saying I can't continue untill I do?
Thanks

Had the same problem myself with a version of messenger 7 that was buggy for me, I tried to downgrade but it wouldnt let me connect until I updated messenger to newest version.
I had to use trillian instead.0 -
Just had a look at trillian, it says I can use it for my MSN chats? Do they also have to have trillian?0

They dont have to be using Trillian for it to work. Its just a alternative to MSN messneger.
Trillian supports MSN, ICQ, YAHOO, IRC and AIM.0 -
Thanks, will d/l and see how I get on0

I also had this prob...then someone suggested that, instead of running messenger from the downloaded software, to use the web site itself. Since then..i've had no probs at all.
The site is: https://www.webmessenger.co.uk. then you just sign in.
hope this works for you!0 -
