I haven't been to either Jersey or Guernsey.
I'm looking for a four night mid week break in March 2008.
Bed,breakfast and evening meal.
A hotel with history or a story to tell maybe.
Nice facilities, Quiet location, ideal for hiking/walking, great views.
Any suggestion and ideas welcome.

I wouldn't go to Jersey.
Someone dies there every weekday at around the same time.
Do you not watch Bergerac??!!"I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
I can't comment on Jersey as I have only been to the airport there , but Guernsey is lovely. My brother lived there for many years so I can't recommend any hotels as I always stayed with him. ( apart from one trip where we stayed in a chalet with my inlaws)
Have you looked at the Visit Guernsey website?
From what I can remember I would say the south of the island would be best for you for nice walks. This hotel looks to be situated in a good place for walks.
If you've the time , Herm and Sark are worth a visit.Same old same old since 20080 -
I have only been to Jersey and it was just like Cornwall... the landscape the atmosphere the light. Didn't really know I'd left England. However it was lovely....relatively unspoiled and St Helier small but buzzing. I had a good time but if you are looking for something different then it may not be the place.0
