I once got my car (Mondeo - not purple though!) stuck in a field. Although about 100 other people did as well. And some coach drivers!!!
It was a horse race meeting, Boxing Day at Wincanton years back. Dry on the day but torrential rain the night before and previous days.
After the meeting all the cars and the coaches had started to sink due to them sitting there all afternoon!! Tractors came to the rescue of the coaches.
Luckily I had 2 very big burly biker blokes from the local pub in the back of my car who pushed as my ex drove...........the car went sideways to start with!!!
EDIT: can't believe you are so pure Lenny you don't know what the rhythm method is
