Best chance of high credit limit - Natwest Platinum or Natwest Gold?

I think I should just about scraoe through the requirements for a Natwest platinum card. I am 28 (you need to be 25) and I earn £26.5k (you need to earn (£25k).

For the Gold card, you need to be 21 and earn £20k.

I want a credit limit of about £7k to be able to transfer all my balances. If I applied for the Platinum card and was successful, are they likely to give me a bigger credit limit than the Gold card?

If the limit they give you will be the same, then I guess I should just apply for the Gold card, as there is a greater likliehood of being accepted??

By the way, I have an "excellent" credit rating according to the search facility on moneysupermarket.com
