Dog and cigatette are the biggest offput - to me anyway - and folks with dogs just don't realise how much their houses stink. I do a lot of house calls for work and the last thing you need to hear is a barking dog combined with the door bell...
OK, so you may not have a dog - but someone else reading this does...
I don't like to see toothbrushes either. Or toilet seats up. Or air fresheners.still raining0 -
from reading your replies sounds like we should be OK then!!!

Husband doesnt smoke in the house, already prepared to remove cat's items when viewers come round, no door on our living room or kitchen (they werent there when we bought and you're right - seems so much bigger without them!) etc. etc.
BRING ON THE VIEWERS!!
Thanks everyone0 -

Don't try too hard to sell the house, I have only had 2 houses but both felt right when I first walked in the door.
Can I second that, having moved more times than I care to remember. Generally, people pretty much make up their mind whether to buy or not in the 10 seconds **before** going inside. I know it sounds daft, but it's what the experts say, and it's my experience.
So, a nice window box or hanging basket of flowers, paint the front door, keep the front garden tidy.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
