Best way to get to Faro with golf clubs

Hi All
Hope you can help me sort my dilemma out we are going for a 4 night break to Faro 28th Feb to 3rd March. We are being picked up at the airport and have got an apartment at Pine Cliffs Vacation Club (inspection trip so very cheap)

My problem is we live on the South Coast so Bournemouth would be the nearest whereas flying from Gatwick would proably mean an airport hotel.

Here are the best two options I have found:

BA Gatwick £274.40 using 10,000 BA miles would bring it down to £230.40
Flying out at 7.15am back at 11am

ThomsonFly Bournemouth £301 incl golf clubs
Flying out at 10am back at 10.20am

I wish there was a later flight back so we dont loose a whole day but I cannot find anything from Bournemouth or Gatwick and Luton and Stanstead are far too far.

Also Airport Hotels I was thinking about staying at the actual Airport for ease but has anyone stayed further out and what was your experiences? Cheapest I have seen is £126 for the Sofitel incl parking. Parking at Bournmouth would be £26.

Also does anyone know if you can check your bags in the night before with BA at Gatwick North?

So that is my dilemma

1. Gatwick + Airport Hotel or Bourmouth?
2. Is there any airline that fly back later than 11am?
3. Which Airport Hotel if Gatwick?
4. Can you check your bags in the night before at Gatwick North with BA?

Monarch seem to be a lot cheaper from Gatwick - around 86 each.
Why do you have to have an airport hotel - can you not drive early in the morning? If you do definitely want an airport hotel we have stayed at the Cornerhouse near Gatwick. 71 + 26 for parking.

Thanks for the suggestions it is all booked now. The BA price is for 2 flights and they do take the clubs for free which I not sure Monach do. I did go for the Sofitel in the end as a treat (should make the holiday feel longer). I got £8.17 back from Quidco with Holdiays Extra and it tracked 3 times but not sure I will get it all. Cool though. Can't wait to go now.
