Err, is this site gradually turning into promotional spam for a TV show?

No - the site is asking for regulars to appear on the series that Martin is currently presenting on Channel Five.0 -
This is about the 5th RUDDY post on this...we get the point
So you don't think the team of Martin's show should be allowed to ask for participants on his own website then?Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
...and spamming it all over the site at the same time.
Mmmmn, I do worry about a grown man needing to have lots of people fawning over him in person as well as online. Did I ought to get together some press clippings on the history of David Icke so that we can make sure the poor man doesn't go off the rails in the future?
If you see any sign of the great man starting to wear too many purple shirts, do please give us the heads up.

Hi Edna
As I said in reply to one of your posts on the other threads, let's look at the bigger picture than simply the forum view.
The whole reason Martin is doing It Pays To Watch is because he wants to grab the attention of people that wouldn't normally think about doing these things. Where better to find wonderfully enthusiastic people to show them how to do it and how simple it can be than on his own forum??
Laura's just made a fabulous suggestion. There are plenty of tickets left to be in the audience. Give us a shout if you want one (email audience@moneysavingproductions.com)

That's great to hear Andrea. Bearing in mind that reason, could you let us know which charity he will be donating his appearance fees to?0 -

Funny - there do seem to be rather a few people on MSE these days who want to tell others what sections and threads they should or shouldn't be visiting or reading.
I find that a slightly depressing development in terms of people being free to express their views within the bounds of etiquette wherever they choose on the Forum.0 -

Edna,
While I agree with some of your posts, you can discuss Forum Policy etc. on the Forum Policy & Rules Discussion board. The issue of Council Tax is an important one and a thread asking for people to appear on the show doesn't need clogging up with irrelevant posts. If skint people are unknowingly paying too much Council Tax it is hugely important that there is this chance of pointing it out.Torgwen.....................

OK fair enough Fran - at least you've put your point of view politely as opposed to some today (sadly including some of the MSE team who one might hope would know better - shame.)
Mind you, find me a thread that doesn't have any irrelevant posts on it on MSE?
With respect, you'll also agree I would hope that each post like yours or mine does also keep the thread "bumped" and at the top of the list - err, and so more people view it? That's not a bad thing, surely.
All the best.0
