Good shopping destination.

Does anyone know of any good value shopping destinations, apart from in the USA? Are there any nearer to home?

Newcastle is GREAT for shopping and I find it cheaper than London!
Prague and Alicante are other places you can do some good shopping but US is the best I have to say. You get more for your buck there hehe.

I'd say USa too - NY is 7 hours I think - most brands that are present in the UK are the same price in dollars as they are in pounds e.g. gap t-shirt £20 in UK, $20 in US e.g. around £10. I buy Levis, Ralph Lauren (got 7 shirts for hubby there last year for £90 - all original and really nice!), Gap, Converse, Old Navy for clothes. Also, things like Mac makeup and Clinique are half the price in the UK, and I have found Revlon and Sally Hansen nail stuff half the price too!

The other place I think is amazing for shopping is Barcelona as it is huge and very relaxed. Zara and Mango are good there.

Wonderful shopping, fabulous place, I had to buy another case!

Wait until the weather gets better, though!

Colmill - Do any airlines fly from Manchester to Boston? Are the hotels and other expenses cheaper in Boston than New York?

I'm not sure, we went to Boston on a cruise and flew back as part of the deal, just google it, I'm sure someone will do it.

We booked a hotel called the Charlesmark, which worked out about £72 per night, unfortunately it is a minimilist design, which I hate, couldn't tell from the photos on the website, everything grey and black, I certainly would not suggest you stay there.

Try https://www.tripadvisor.com, you will find my comments about the Charlesmark on there!

With the strong pound, you can stay at a very good rate at a nce hotel.
