How much is fair for removals?

As I'm moving soon I had someone round today to quote for removals. The journey to my new place is around 15-20 minutes from where I live now and I have the standard amount of furniture you'd expect to find for a 1 bedroom property ... I have been quoted £200 and this includes loading up from old property and unloading at the new ...is this a reasonable price ?
Before I've always hired vans and had help with lifting and carrying stuff but this isn't really an option at the moment ...

depends where you live?
it seems fair enough to me. if you hired your own van you are looking at nearly 100 quid with the fuel etc..Get some gorm.0 -
seems very fair to me too0

Good morning: Is the 'moving company' insured i.e. professional liability and will your insurance cover your possessions in transit?

Hi Tori
Where are you based? I am looking for a van too, like you, it's only 15-20mins away, but we don't have much furniture.
Thanks.“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”

very few chaps who do this sort of thing (van and a man) have all the proper insurance. its expensive for full "goods/handling damage" insurance.
its a risk you take for a budget service. its either that, or pickfords for 1000 quid and more.Get some gorm.0 -
