How much is a fair price for removals?

As I'm moving soon I had someone round today to quote for removals. The journey to my new place is around 15-20 minutes from where I live now and I have the standard amount of furniture you'd expect to find for a 1 bedroom property ... I have been quoted £200 and this includes loading up from old property and unloading at the new ...is this a reasonable price ?
Before I've always hired vans and had help with lifting and carrying stuff but this isn't really an option at the moment ...

It sounds reasonable to me.
If you look at it from a business perspective, they have to run the business (advertising, building, phone lines etc etc etc) and they have to buy a big van and fill it with fuel.
They then have to hire staff. Removals staff won't be minimum wage and there might be 3 of them. So, say, they are on £8/hour (I am making this up).
They leave the depot at 9am, get to yours, speak to you, walk round to see what you've got and pick up the first box at 9.30. They then load stuff etc for an hour, it's 10.30.
Quick coffee break, drive over to new house and it's 11:00
Then they bring the stuff in for an hour. 12:00
Drive back to the depot, clean out the van, fill in the paperwork and it is 13:00
4 hours.
£50/hour to hire 3 blokes and a van with everything insured.
In fact, it now looks cheap to me!0 -

How much would you expect to pay to move 3-bed house 130 miles? (Midlands to North West) Sorry for hijacking the thread, but it is similar question...
We are moving soon (house is going on the market next week or so - having valuations done at the moment) due to job and work is paying a good chunk for relocation. My husband asked a company up north and they said depending on the size of the house it would be about £1600. The house is not big, we just moved in in March, so haven't accummulated too much stuff... I understand it is a big distance and we would be looking at someone to pack up everything (don't mind unpacking in new house), so taht would add to the cost. Would you say £1600 is a good price or is it a bit high? We will get more quotes once we get an offer on house and possible have one accepted on the new one, but just to get an idea, I though I would ask all the clever people here! Thanks everyone!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
to be honest, ive moved house over 30 times and would neva pay 200 to go 15-20 mins away0

That sounds really reasonable to me - when we moved to our new place, which was about an hour away from the old, the cheapest quote for moving a one bed flat, no white goods, was £400. Needless to say we hired a van
