Where to have Sunday Lunch in Newcastle??

I am taking my elderly mother to Newcastle upon Tyne on Sunday and wondered if anybody could tell me the best place for a set menu Sunday Lunch. Blackfriars looks good as does the Sage but a nice hotel on the outskirts or somewhere like Jesmond would be ok. It must be reasonably near car parking. Any help would be appreciated.

I know this is too late but try the "Biscuit factory" next time. Sorry did not see your request on time.

Try the Waggon out on the A696 about 3 miles 'north' of Ponteland (on the right hand side), or the White Swan Inn on Prestwick Rd,Dinnington. Used to use these alternately about once a month on average - and the old bird might be glad of the trip out to the sticks (judging by what my granny's like).

Both serve decent food, and a good mix of stuff from the usual roasts to what passes for avant garde in the area ;)
