I have posted on the student bored but think I may get a quicker answer here.
Dh has an interview for a nursing course which starts in May ( I am going to uni in Sep I hope!)
Ok so from may..
Tax credits for 5 kids£233 per week
nursing bursary
Dependent allowance for having a wife and 5 kids
Parents learning allowance
Child benefit
DLA for special needs son
Carers allowance paid to me for son
IS as I am carer and dh student 70ish per week
morgage payment?
Council tax benefit.. £23 per week
OR is it all different for NHS students?

Income support will take into account his bursery and (probably) knock it out.
Council Tax also count bursary as income, I can't get any help other than a 25% discount (we have carers allowance for dh, and my nhs bursary and tax credits so similar situation as you - but only 3 kids)
I don't think you get the parents learning allowance if you get the NHS bursary (although you may be refering to you as a student getting it) and the rules may be different in England (I'm in Wales)
No help with morgage either.
That said we have managed to do it so it is possible0 -
