Don't know if this applies t anyone else but my hubby, lovely, understanding and supportive as he is, is getting a little worried about the amount of time i spend on here.:D

as i point out to him and he agrees, this site has saved us lots of money, taught us what to do with our money, enable us to look to a brighter and more stable future.;)

and he does admit to loving the fact that thanks to the old style boards he gets a home cooked meal EVERY NIGHT!!!

and while iam on here, i can't spend money!!!

to be fair it's really only tongue in cheek when he says this, but i just wondered what everyones else's partners, children think?

My OH thinks the amount of time I spend on here is worrying too! But he's slowly coming around to it due to my brand new shiny menu plan, home cooked macaroni cheese last night (I did the cheese sauce from scratch too!) and after he'd had that, he suddenly stopped complaining quite so much:rotfl:

My family think it's sensible (as do one or two of my more sane friends) but the OH and most of my friends think I'm a bit obsessive about it - "but money is for spending" and "but you work hard, you deserve it" ("it" being whatever it is I am resisting buying whether food/clothes/shoes/holiday/etc).

I don't think I'm going to be able to make him "get it", or see that it's really important to pay off his debts :rolleyes:, so in the meantime all I can do is pay off my own debts, and try to talk him round one thing at a time.

On the plus side he recently subscribed to Freecycle for me (he understands these technical things more than me lol) and got me a deep heat back massager! Which is fab as I have a really bad back and can't afford massages at the moment! So he's really trying hard lately I have to say (even if he perhaps doesn't understand *why* it matters to me! lol)

Be interested to see if anyone else's partners/kids/friends thinks they're mad too!

God I SO agree with this topic! I'm always on here, and it amazes me as there's always something to read / going on, very rare on the web these days as a lot of it can be so badly updated / repetitive.

Yep im getting that problem too, OH said the other night i had to have a night off from MSE a week!!!
He gets upset if he talks to me (i have a laptop so he's sat next to me!) and I dont answer and then when he asks again I have to ask him to repeat the question!!!
But i used to spend the same amount of time on ebay spending money so I think its saving me lots being here instead!

Just showed my hubby this thread and his response was " hmmm at least it's not Ebay" which is where I used to be prior to finding this site. Now I've even spent 3 hours listing stuff for it instead of 3 hours browsing and buying stuff I don't need! How cool is that!

I think my friends think I'm mad though, as I rabbit on about MSE all the time. Don't think they believe me when I say this year is going to be out debt free year...at last. I'll show em!
