Recently terminated Self Employement - Benefit help!

Options
Hello,

My self employment contract was terminated today.

I have no other means of income.

I have been offered a full time job, to start as soon as a CRB check is completed.

I was planning on staying self employed up until I started my new job but it hasn't worked out.

As I have no income from now until I start new job, am I entitled to any benefit at all?
I've checked on the Job Centre Plus website and the DWP website but it doesn't say anything about in-between jobs.

I don't think I can apply for JSA as I do actually have a job offer therefore I wouldn't fulfill the requirements to actually be seeking a job!

If anyone can help, that'd be great.

Thanks.

To claim JSA you have to be available for and actively seeking work. Can't you do this while you're waiting to start your new job? The only other alternative would be to claim as incapable of work and you don't seem to fit this criteria.

If you're a tenant you can claim Housing and Council Tax Benefit on a nil income.
I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!
