Kitchen Tiling Quote

I have a quote for tiling 4sq metres between worktop & units plus window sill & 4 sockets to contend with.
Tiles are 10x10cm i.e. 400 tiles. I have supplied tiles, adhesive, grout & trim.
Quote is £330 which seems very high compared to some of the rates per sq mtr on this forum. - Tiler was recommended but is price reasonable or on the high side?
Thanks

    Hi Rolly

I think you may want to get some other quotes as that one does seem high. I wouldnt charge more than £150 for that and id still be doing well, especially with no materials to supply.

    Hope that helps

  • Hi Rolly, as a tiler myself I would charge no more than £120 for this.

Tell him he's having a laugh.

I would also definitely recommend getting further quotes. We had two quotes of £160 and £180 for 6 sq metres of 10x10cm tiling. We paid for the tiles and window trims and he supplied the grout and whatever else they need/use.
  • Thanks Guys, thought it was a bit over the top, I just thought it would be competitive. Will get some more quotes now.
It just shows you should not go with the first quote you receive.
    Thanks,
    Rolly

In leicester the going rate is 15-20 pounds per sq.m. depends on tiles as well though. thats for labour alone.
