RAINBOW badges!

can anyone tell me where they have been sewing daughters rainbow badges on the red outfits ie back of tshirt rather than on zipper? the arrow shaped ones different colours right to be happy,right to be me,right to work together etc, it's just that if you put them on back of tshirt you dont see them when they wear zipper over is this right or is there no correct place for them? thanks!

My DD doesnt have any badges yet, in fact I havent seen any of the others with badges:eek: , but usually they take their zipped jacket off cos they get too hot running around in the games. Maybe have a look on the website http://www.girlguiding.org.uk/ (actually I just looked and couldnt find anything so not much help really:o )

Do the Rainbows not wear tabards? All the 4 Rainbows groups in Dover have their badges on their tabards, on the pocket area, except for the Rainbows badge in the middle chest area.

thanks so much that is great the link i had was the girlguiding badges one like above by bernadette but it only talks about tabards and not the red jogging pants and zipper uniform she has got one of those round badges but she has three arrow ones as i mentioned before and they have been on back but you cant see them with zipper on so i might move them to front where they will be seen.

You are all right. Some rainbows still wear tabbards but some have the new uniforms. The new uniforms do have zip up fleeces if you want to buy them(they are expensive) but as you say, the badges are then hidden.

thanks but they dont wear tabards they wear the red uniform joggers and zipper,polo tshirt type and the badges seem to go on polo tshirt but at the back you cant see them if wearing zipper over!

my daughter wears that uniform and I was told by the guider to sew the badge on the left hand side at the bottom

i have put the round badge on front left bottom corner ,but the right to...badges (arrow shaped i was told go on back but when you wear zipper you cant see them so i was wondering what other areas do does everyone put them on back hidden? we have three arrow shaped ones and it would be nice to wear them on front if it is ok) have you put the arrow one on front or is it the round one? ! thanks!!

My dd is a rainbow. The pin badges (she has 2) i have put 1 on each collar of the polo shirt and the badges you stitch on are meant to go on the bottom of the polo shirt but i have actually stitched them onto her trousers so you can see them better.
