Hi, I applied last Wednesday 23rd January.
Cheque also cashed today. Nothing on line yet or postal confirmation/correspondense.

Thanks for the thanks everyone!! I am just amazed it has been read by 3,700 people!! I was just as grateful to the person on another website who informed me,because i was literally about to transfer the money into Bradford and Bingley's 6.5% bond with nowhere near the facilities this one has.
It is good to give something back to all the people on here who contribute with this sort of notification of good accounts, and give good sound advice on all money matters(as well as all the other info elsewhere)
A big thanks above all to Martin for setting it up in the first place :T0 -

I had the paperwork in the post yesterday ,but as i already have an account online i was able to see very quickly last week that they had taken the money, and 2 days later, some more i transferred in.Just checked now and not showing online,so maybe it is not going to,but at least i have the facility to transfer out of my silver savings into it(not that i can afford any more now!!)0 -

It would seem that it wont be seen on line. I transferred some money yesterday from an on line account as per the instructions in my welcome letter and expected to see it visible today at least, However when I queried why it wasn't I'm told that as it is a postal account it wont be shown on line."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

So how much can you add to the account?
Does this account allow me to add an unlimited amount of fund up until Jan 2009 or is it limited to a certain date?
Thanks0 -
I spoke to them today and the chap said I should receive a welcome pack shortly. Without the sort code and more importantly my account No. I cannot transfer any funds in.It would seem that it wont be seen on line. They say in their T's&C's withdrawals can be made into another NR account, I have one. I hope we will be able to email them or something rather that apply by post to make withdrawals?

As long as it remains open to new customers to subscribe, then you can add additional deposits by post...but it won't be for very long. I don't think there is a maximum fund limit...I cannot see it. Best to stay with £35,000 or below?
Once they reach a certain level of customers / deposits it will be withdrawn from their website and no more new customers etc. All customers who have subscribed to it can then no longer make any more deposits. Another issue may take its place in the future mind - but probably at a slightly lower AER.
I'm also transfering funds from my A&L Direct Saver on Feb 1st - cheque ready for the post to NR...I'll breathe a sigh of relief after the next two daysI would normally have a cup of tea0 -
Yes thanks for posting this Froglet; very good account!
I opened mine in a Branch on Monday (er yesterday). Opened instantly and was given a slip with the account number, so should be able to make a deposit by BACS when funds arrive!SirSaveALot
