Since it's hard to imagine that anything NRK do these day's isn't dictated by G Brown, I wonder whether the current Bond has been released in order to make the balance sheet more attractive to Branston et al? And if so, whether that means they intend to take a lot of money on it.
Because presumably after all the withdrawals during the run they don't have enough cash on the books to get themselves a coffee from the vending machine right now....0 -

Yes. That's why I said presumably.0 -
I wonder if someone could tell me, how much more actual monthly interest (net) you would receive by having money in the 6.9% bond compared to leaving the money in silver savings 6.49%.
Based, for ease of calculation, per £1,000.
Don't really want to get caught up in the hype of this thread and go mad swapping money around again just for a few pounds.
Thankyou in advance0 -

According to the Stoozing calculator at: http://www.stoozing.com/calc.htm
(If I used it correctly) it works out at 26pence: £4.46 as against £4.20.
It this is wrong, I guarentee it won't be long before somebody corrects it0 -
That's paying tax at basic rate by the way.0

That's right, but interest rates are likely to reduce and the new rate is fixed so the gap is likely to get bigger as the year progresses.0 -
I've just posted my form and my cheque, I did notice that this is issue 1, I suspect that when this one is full up there will be an issue 2/3 etc etc. Fingers crossed that this will stay open for a while though so I can get a bit more money in there!0

Just signed in to my account with NR and very pleased to see the money has already been transferred out from my silver savings,to set up the bond.I only sent the form off yesterday afternoon!!
That is very efficient,i suppose it will be a day or so before they get really deluged.Hopefully the bond will show up on the site soon so that i can transfer some more over,i have decided to do so before they close that option along with the bond itself.0
