Nationwide credit card

We would like to apply for a nationwide credit card. Do we have to open a bank account with them first. When I go into the website, that's what it seems to suggest.

No, they're quite separate. I had a CC for years without having any bank account with them0

And you can get online access to your Nationwide CC account without having to have a Nationwide bank account (even if they tell you otherwise)
