Hi, I want to invest in a single company on the Bombay Stock Exchange but cannot find a single broker in the UK who offers this service. Are there rules preventing this? I don't want advice as I know what I want to buy. I just can't figure out how to do it. Any ideas?

Yes. There are specific rules for direct investment into India. Its not an open market as most western stockmarkets. You have to be a resident of India, a person of Indian origin or an institution registered with the Reserve Bank of India.
This is why investment funds are the more popular option (unless you are Indian or of Indian origin).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
