Quite a few times I've read all my emails for one day then when I look the next day another one has appeared for the day before. For instance today I've got new ones for Tuesday but there is an unread Monday one in the middle of the ones I did read yesterday. Why do they take so long to come through?

It happens because email is a store-and-forward system, in which an individual email may be relayed between many servers (or Mail Transfer Agents) before they arrive at your ISP's server.
Further delays can be introduced because most mail servers use a First In First Out queue, so your delayed email may have been stuck in a long queue behind lots of other emails (or perhaps just a few very large emails).0 -
same thing here with yahoo.
it used to be very good, but now in the last 6 months or so yahoo is very slow sometimes with emails.
ie, i get ebay notices days after the item is bought or sold.Get some gorm.0
