card companies keep records of reasons for closure , but not wanting to antagonize , what is the best reason to give for closing a stooze card.
who knows i also may want to come back to them in 6 months or so for another 0 percent deal !

How about ...
"I have had no issues with your service or the card itself, but there are other cards on the market that offer introductory rates, so I am planning to take advantage of one of these.. I'd be happy to keep my current card but it doesn't make financial sense."
If you are lucky they might just offer to extend your existing 0% deal.

I’ve decided to close a few credit cards that I don’t use.
I’m rearranging my finances and I’m looking for the best deals for my money.
You being a credit card company should understand this.
Thank youI'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
I don't mean to be rude but why give them a reason at all?

I think it depends on how you do it. If you say "I am looking for 0% deals because I want to exploit them for profit" then that is one thing, but if you just say "I am aware that there are cards around that offer 0% still, so financially it would make sense for me to apply for one of those wouldn't it ?", then you will come across as a savvy financial consumer who they can't mess about and it also gives them a hook on which to say "so, if I could extend your existing 0% deal for another 6 months, would you stay with us ?".
Play it canny. Just the right balance of being savvy enough to know what you want without appearing to exploitative
