Washing Machine Broke - Need New one!

Need a new washing machine ASAP as old one has just broke
Have a young family (do anything from 2 to 5 washes a day)
Would it be best to get the cheapest possible? (knowing that we are going to run it into the ground)
Or is it better to get a better spec / make that might last?
Any good deals?
Thanks Guys

To get started
John Lewis do a Tricity Bendix (very basic spec) for £200 + you get a free two yearr guarentee
Currys do a Beko for £170.00
Comet have got a Whirlpool for £200.000 -

If I knew then what I know now!!!
I bought a dyson washing machine and paid about £800 for it. I have had no end of troubles, even having the complete barings (??? spelt that way ???) changed after owning it for only 18 months. Fortunately they did all the fixes free of charge, even after the 2 year warranty as they knew they couldn't get away with charging me for all the faults I encountered.
My point is - expensive isn't necessarily better. If and when I need a new one, I will buy budget and get the best warranty available (free of course!).
I also recommend John Lewis for thisI'm a nutter :j0 -

Hiya, there are loads of bargains to go for at the moment. Like the others have said that are loads of brands to go for. Decide your choice on all this information. Also consider other factors like: energy rating of the washing machine, water consumption of the washing machine (do you get the choice of part loads as an option), spin speed choices on the washing machine (can get anthing from around 1000rpm to around 1600rpm). All these factors can have a realistic bearing on choice not just the cost to buy. If you look on Currys website they give you the reevoo ratings and comments too... Thanks R0

I got one from TESCO £149.99 and paid £53 for 3 years parts and labour insurance. I think it was a good buy. An easy logic. You cant take the trousers off an elephant!0

our one that just broke....is indesit i think (Howdens kitchen range anyway)
this has lasted us ...oooooohhhhh must be approx 5 yrs ....which is pretty good considering the amount of washing that we've done0 -
My previous washing machine was a hotpoint, my dishwasher is also hotpoint. The washing machine was 12 years old when it finally went to washing machine heaven, and my dishwasher is currently 10 years old and still plodding on!
I don't know if they still make em like they used to (?) but its certainly a brand I would consider for any new purchases (budget dependent!) - I'd also check out some review sites first before laying out my cashI'm a nutter :j0
