Bloody Comet!!!!

I hate Comet, everytime I have ever tried buying anything from them there has been a problem that ends up costing me money.

I rang and (thought I had) reserved a copy when I see this posted on tuesday, I made a point of asking if they could reserve it til friday and the woman said yeah no problem, I managed to get down there tonight to be told there was no reservation on the system under my name. When I moaned and said the woman reserved it for me the SA asked when I recieved it and told me there was no way of reserving an item for more than 24 hours.
I then gave her the product number and she said "oh yeah there are two in stock and this man is just buying them" GRRRRRRRRR!!! :mad::mad::mad: (Sorry if it was one of you guys, I havent had a great day at work and to be mucked about like this peed me off even more) but they didnt even have the two in stock anyway!!
They were showing up at £4.99 on their system though?
I immediately asked for a manager who sauntered over saying there was nothing he could do about it, they tried ringing another store that was showing as having 14 in stock to be told that they had been withdrawn from sale because of a re-call (god forbid anyone should buy anything cheap from Comet)

So a nice wasted journey all the way down to Ashford for absolutely no reason! :mad:

Yeah, thats this bundle, when I phoned on tuesday I was told they were £9.99 (still a bargain)

Forgot to add, I used the work phone to make the call on tuesday and all calls are recorded so I can back myself up if they try palming me off! (I have already sent off a complaint email, will see how the reply to that goes)

can't find anything on Comet's website about a bargain game pack with Forza or a wireless controller.

Are you sure this is right? If so how come I can't see it?

Probably been withdrawn from sale due to a re-call, Comet couldnt have people buying stuff too cheaply could they!

I only say that because everytime I try and get something like this it mysteriously gets withdrawn as if they realise they are selling it too cheap.

As for the recall, your guess is as good as mine, probably manager BS for "We're not selling it to you at that price!"

There was a rumour about the return of R&R, sadly, it was just that, a rumour!

I would have been up for some more Tesco based travels around the country too! :rolleyes:

Thanks for this tip. Got the last available one from Guildford today (for £4.99) after Eastleigh would not sell their last one (said that they had been told not to sell outside of bundle offer). Very happy with this amazing deal just for the controller alone! :beer:
